Excited for the new season

With the SS13 shows about to go, I could not be more over SS12. But I'm still outrageously excited about AW12/13 and can't wait for the trends to get into full swing. Very excited for Christmas and all the premium stuff. Here's a little re-cap of the trends to come this season.

Karla Spetic SS13

Another Australian emerging designer, Karla Spetic. I discovered her recently and her collection completely embodies one of my thoughts for SS13, transparency. She has done this in a very wearable way too, you can definitely imagine these organza pieces and sheer inserts on the high-street. I love her take on blocking too, mixing different colour and fabric panels into one garment. How great is the colour block dress with one lace sleeve, second image down. Amazen.

Elly Cheng LCF Graduate Fashion

I came across this on thisispaper.com which is a fantastic online mag for fashion and art and design, it's really great. Have a look here. What really really caught my eye was this designer from London College of Fashion Elly Cheng. I absolutely love her aesthetic, her emphasis on shape... i love the stepped lengths, the way she plays with texture and I really hope the powder colours and ombre trend carry on into SS13. I love this :)

GRIMES "Genesis"

As you know I think Grimes is great, and not just for her album which I am obsessed with but her very individual style. Her new video for her next single 'genesis' has kept me hitting repeat. Here are some stills from the video and you can watch the video at the bottom of this post.
