Elle Fanning SELF SERVICE Magazine

Another great independent fashion mag. I love Elle Fanning and this shoot by Venetia Scott is just amazing. With a suburban Californian take on the late 60s; the setting and styling is just perfect.

Sydney Fashion Week SS12/13

The first show worth mentioning is Alice McCall, she is one of my favourite designers ever ever ever, my obsession began when Urban Outfitters started stocking her label in 2006 in their Boutique section and since then she has moved along loads. She did a collab with Topshop which was amazing and has also launched a kind of sub label called House Of Wilde, which I need to do a post about because its great and it's a lot cheaper than her mainline collection. She's always been on the girly side and is mostly all about pretty short dresses with a big emphasis on shape. This collection was pretty much consistent with that. Florals were a big thing, delicate fabrics, bright colour pops on more muted base colours and a lot going on in the way of layering and mixing lengths.

Another favourite of mine was swimwear label WE ARE HANDSOME. There are so many amazing Australian swim labels like Zimmermann and Tigerlilly and I'm sure this second collection by WE ARE HANDSOME will put them on the radar.

Bec & Bridge, more florals more sheer fabrics more beautiful beautiful dresses. Lots in the way of slits and cut-out details and the peplum shape is still there too.

Emma Mullholland SS13

Just recently did a post on this Designer so scroll down and have a look at some of her earlier stuff. Her newest SS13 collection was unveiled a couple of weeks ago. More bold pshycadelic colours, lots of clashing patterns and quirky prints.

Kate Foley from OPENING CEREMONY

The new style queen. Although based in New York working on the buying team for Opening Ceremony, she's a Brit which makes me like her even more.
A advocate for chosing one of a kind and interesting vintage pieces over following the trends religiously, she's on the radar and is my new favourite IT girl.
