Field of Dreams

I haven't blogged since moving down to London to start my new job as a buyer assistant for ASOS! It's very exciting and fun to be working in fashion...and very busy.. but iv'e really missed doing blog posts so hopefully now i'll get back into the swing of it. I have saved up loads of cool stuff to post so keep checking back for loads of inspirational things.

Something that caught my eye this week from Australian Vogue was an editorial called Field of Dreams. A lovely wimsical shoot with a bit of a modern twist on the prairie girl. I love it.

ALTEWAISAOME SS13

Obviously the scandinavians are a slick bunch and this designer well deserves a mention ALTEWAISAOME. The SS13 collection which recently showed at Stockholm Fashion Week was made up of clean lines, sculpted boxy silhouettes, layered panels and a lovely simplistic and modern colour palette. Couldn't represent the signature Swedish style any more beautifully.

Sorry for the small image, but these are the best shots I could find.

SS13 Moodboards

I did some moodboards for a recent interview and it seemed like such a waste not to share them because I think they look pretty cool, so I took some photos of them and here they are, my predictions for SS13 high-street fashion, what will be new, what will still be around from SS12 and what has inspired me for the season ahead. None of the images are my own, they are from tumblr, pinterest, various style blogs (including fashion-fade, stylebubble, spanish moss and motel rocks) new labels (including dimepiece and friend of mine), online shops, vintage stores, lookbooks, catwalks, street-style, people in music, magazines etc etc...

70s hippy glamour, crochet, indian prints, broderie anglaise, fringing, kimono sleeves, floaty shapes and  lots of ruffles and cold shoulder styles. LOVE.

DIY fashion inspired clothing, acid wash denim, studds and spikes, more tie dye, overdye, dip dye, tomboy styling, crosses and skull motifs, oversized jackets and sweats.
